Living Soil. Healthy Plants. Bountiful Harvest.
Through the Amazing Power of Composting Worms
What we do
Vermicomposting
The simple definition of vermicomposting is using earthworms to convert biodegradable waste into organic manure (worm castings). This valuable soil amendment is an incredible source of plant nutrients and helps build soil life and health. At NH Worm Works we feed our worms with plant based food waste that would normally just get dumped in the trash and carted off to a landfill. Our worms take that trash and turn it into treasure!
Soil Health
The healthiest, most vibrant plants come from healthy soil, not chemical fertilizers. Worm castings contribute to optimal soil composition, nutrients and microbiology.
Recycling with Nature
Vermicomposting is nature's recycler and upcycler. Waste that would normally get thrown away is used to feed our worms, who in turn generously create the "power poo" that helps us grow more, and the cycle continues.
You Can Do It!
Vermicomposting is fun and is something you can do right at home. We can help set you up with everything you need to start vermicomposting at home, at work, or in the classroom.
why we do it
Off The Chemicals
Like most people, we used chemical in our own gardens, without realizing the long term damage it was doing to the soil. Even organic fertilizers can only mask poor soil quality for so long, and either one is very expensive. The more we studied vermicomposting, the more we began to realize how much it could contribute to both our desire to waste less (by upcycling our food scraps) and spend less on fertilizers. When we started getting tremendous results with our plant starts by adding worm castings, we were hooked!
